THE NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICE OF DIEMENVOORELKAAR

Diemenvoorelkaar consists of two parts: the website Diemenvoorelkaar.nl and the Buurthulpdienst.

The Community Service of Diemenvoorelkaar:

1. For whom?

Independently living elderly people from 75 years of age, people with a physical disability and the chronically ill can call on a volunteer from the Buurthulpdienst from Diemenvoorelkaar.

2. For what?

The volunteers offer practical help, personal support and social contact, such as:

• jobs in and around the house
• help in the garden
• support at hospital or doctor visit
• help with the computer
• help with the groceries
• To make smalltalk
• take a trip or a walk together
• the monthly activity (eating together in a restaurant in Diemen)
• the bimonthly activities (e.g. a boat trip, a high tea or a film screening)
